Scott Baldauf has been a Monitor correspondent in the American Southwest, where he covered immigration, technology, politics, and culture. From 2001-2006, he wrote from South Asia, covering the war in Afghanistan and the economic rise of India. From 2006-2011, he wrote about economic growth and political reform in Africa.
