Hannah Goeke was a Monitor intern from May to August 2025.
For someone who’s only willing to run when she plays soccer, Hannah has “accidentally” covered one too many stories about marathoners. At the Monitor, Hannah focuses on reporting on the local communities of Boston. She believes that good journalism starts from a place of genuine curiosity – the drive to learn, to question, and to listen.
When she’s not reporting, Hannah enjoys exploring restaurants around Boston, attempting to recreate their dishes (with mixed results), and spending time exploring and creating art.
Hannah doesn’t see herself settling in one place forever. She believes the best way to grow as a person is to be immersed in different cultures, which is why she wants to be a foreign correspondent.
